Deepika Padukone’s Live Love Laugh Foundation teams up with Karnataka Government!

Deepika Padukone is one of the top actresses of Bollywood. The lady has impressed one and all with her performances in India and now she is also conquering the west. As, she debuted in the Hollywood venture XXX with Vin Diesel. The diva battled with depression and has witnessed a low phase early in her career and hence started the The Live Laugh Love Foundation to help everyone fighting from depression and other mental illnesses.

Deepika Padukone’s Live Love Laugh Foundation teams up with Karnataka Government!

Deepika’s foundation joined hands with the Karnataka Government on World Health Day and the actress made a speech at the NIMHANS Convention Centre in Bangalore to a large audience.

The excerpts from the speech: “Depression can strike anyone regardless of their age, background or economic status. Unfortunately those who suffer from depression and other mental health issues face prejudice and discrimination. In 2015, The Live Love Laugh Foundation was established to raise awareness and de-stigmatize depression.

She added, "Recent initiatives by the government show that the authorities are committed to addressing and combatting the imposing challenge that Depression presents. I hope together we create an environment where people afflicted with mental illnesses feel comfortable, safe and loved.”
