If one knows about acting as a process, in the case of method acting, actors mostly go in deep analysis of a character, observe people and things to get into their characters. Although some of the great actors like Nawazuddin Siddiqui would live and play the character and yet portray brilliantly to simply mesmerize the audience. But sometimes, an actor could also take inspiration from another actor to add a particular caricature and add more depth to the character. So Nawazuddin did it too! Apparently, Nawazuddin did take inspiration from Piyush Mishra to add a different flavor to the character in his upcoming film, Mom!
As Nawazuddin Siddiqui explains, “When I was shooting for the movie in Delhi on the first day, with the makeup done and getting ready for the shot, I felt my character had to have a heavy north Indian accent, so I thought I could imitate him to see if it works."
He further said, “Surprisingly, when I started imitating him, it went well with the look and the character." Then he also shares his memories, saying, "I know him in real life, and meet him often. I also worked with him in Gangs of Wasseypur, so I have observed his work. He is multi-talented and inspires me as an actor. In fact, we would all copy him when I was studying at the National School of Drama.”
Mom, directed by Ravi Udyawar, with an ensemble cast of Sridevi, Akshaye Khanna, Sajal Ali, Adnan Siddiqui, Abhimanyu Singh & Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be released on 7th July and if everything is as promising as it's seen, we would see how well Nawazuddin managed to nail Piyush Mishra’s caricature!
